BuddyBoss Mobile App Solo vs Launch: Features and Pricing

The BuddyBoss Mobile App offers two plans for bringing your community to mobile: Solo and Launch.

Both plans include BuddyBoss community features, memberships and courses, push notifications, in-app purchases, gamification, offline course content, and other core mobile app functionality.

The main difference is platform availability. Solo lets you launch your branded app on either iOS or Android, while Launch includes both platforms, allowing you to reach members regardless of which supported mobile device they use.

BuddyBoss Mobile App Solo

The Solo plan gives you your own branded BuddyBoss Mobile App on one mobile platform. You can choose to launch your app on either iOS or Android.

All of the core community and learning features are included, making Solo suitable for businesses whose members primarily use one mobile platform.

What’s Included

Solo includes:

  • iOS or Android – choose one
  • BuddyBoss Memberships and Courses
  • Full community features
  • White-label app under your developer account
  • Push notifications
  • MemberPress and LearnDash integrations
  • Support for in-app purchasing
  • Gamification, including points, achievements, and ranks
  • Offline mode for course content
  • App access controls
  • Unlimited student or member profiles
  • Unlimited social groups or forums
  • Unlimited student or member messaging

BuddyBoss Mobile App Launch

The Launch plan includes everything available with Solo while expanding your app to both iOS and Android.

With Launch, your app is published and maintained across two store listings, allowing you to reach members on both supported mobile platforms.

What’s Included

Launch includes everything in Solo, plus:

  • iOS and Android
  • Two store listings, both maintained
  • Support for both developer accounts
  • The ability to reach members regardless of whether they use an iOS or Android device

Because the underlying community and learning features are already included with Solo, the primary benefit of Launch is making your app available across both platforms.

Which Plan Should You Choose?

Choose Solo If:

  • You only need your app on iOS or Android.
  • Most of your members use the same mobile platform.
  • You only need one app store listing.
  • You want the full BuddyBoss community and learning experience on one mobile platform.

Choose Launch If:

  • You want your app available on both iOS and Android.
  • Your members use a mix of iOS and Android devices.
  • You need listings in both supported app stores.
  • You want both app store listings maintained.
  • You want to reach your members regardless of which supported mobile platform they use.

Moving from Solo to Launch

If you start with Solo and later want to make your app available on both iOS and Android, you can move to the Launch plan.

Launch retains the features available with Solo while adding the second mobile platform, a second store listing, and support for both developer accounts.

This makes it possible to expand your app’s availability as your community grows and you need to reach members across both iOS and Android.
