The Groups feature lets you build structured communities where members can interact, collaborate, and share content. As an administrator, you can create groups, define their visibility, and manage them directly from the Dashboard. This manual walks you through creating groups, managing existing ones, and using bulk actions.

Accessing the Groups Directory

Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard, go to BuddyBoss > Settings > Social Groups, then click All Groups.

The panel displays all existing groups along with their Name, Privacy, Members, Group Type, and Last Active. Use the filters at the top to refine your view by group type, sort by newest, or search by name.

Creating a New Group

Click Create New Group to open the group creation form. Enter a Name, define the Permalink (the URL slug for the group), and add an optional Description. Then select the Group Privacy setting:

  • Public: Anyone can view and join the group.
  • Private: Users must request access to join the group.
  • Hidden: The group is only visible to invited members and does not appear in the directory.

Click Save.

Managing Existing Groups

From the All Groups panel, locate the group you want to manage and click the three-dot menu next to it to access quick actions:

  • View: Opens the group on the frontend of your site.
  • Edit: Modify the group’s name, description, privacy, and other settings.
  • Delete: Permanently removes the group and all its content.

To manage multiple groups at once, select them using the checkboxes, open the Bulk Actions dropdown, choose the desired action, and click Apply.
