How to Update Your BuddyBoss iOS App

Updating your BuddyBoss iOS App allows you to provide members with the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes. To update your BuddyBoss iOS App, you can generate a new iOS Release build, upload it to App Store Connect, and submit the updated version to Apple for review.

Once Apple approves the update, your new app version becomes available to users based on your App Store release settings.

Create a New iOS Release App Build

1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Navigate to BuddyBoss App > Build.
3. Click Request Build.
4. Select iOS as the Platform and Release App as the Build Type.
5. Click Next Step.
6. Review the build information, then click Send Build Request.
7. Once the build is complete, navigate to Build History.
8. Locate your new iOS Release build and click Download IPA File.
9. Save the IPA file to your computer.

Upload Your Latest Build to App Store Connect

Once your new iOS Release build is ready, you can upload it directly to App Store Connect through your BuddyBoss App Dashboard.

1. In your WordPress Dashboard, navigate to BuddyBoss App > Upload > Apple App Store.
2. Select the iOS Release App build you want to upload.
3. Click Upload Build.
4. Navigate to Upload History to monitor the upload status.

Only the following builds can be uploaded:

• iOS Release App builds.
• Builds that have not already been uploaded to App Store Connect.
• Builds that meet Apple’s version and build number requirements.

Note: Uploads typically complete within approximately 15 minutes, although processing times may vary.

Important: You must configure your Upload Configuration under BuddyBoss App > Configure > iOS Settings before uploading builds directly from your WordPress Dashboard.

Submit Your Updated App to Apple for Review

Once your new build has been uploaded and processed in App Store Connect, you can submit an updated version of your existing app.

1. Log in to App Store Connect.
2. Click My Apps and select your existing app.
3. In the sidebar, click the + button next to the iOS app versions to create a new version.
4. Enter the new Version Number and create the version.
5. Under the app version details, enter What’s New in This Version to describe the new features, improvements, or bug fixes.
6. Update your app screenshots, previews, or other store listing information if necessary.
7. Scroll to the Build section and click the + button.
8. Select the newly uploaded iOS Release App build and click Done.
9. Review the App Review Information, including any required sign-in credentials or instructions for Apple’s review team.
10. Click Save, then Add for Review.
11. Navigate to the App Review section and click Submit to App Review.

Once submitted, your app status will change to Waiting for Review and then In Review when Apple begins reviewing the update.

Note: Apple reviews updated app versions before approving them for release. Review times may vary depending on the submission and whether additional information or changes are required.

Respond to Apple Review Feedback

If Apple identifies issues with your app update, you can review and respond to the feedback through App Store Connect.

1. Log in to App Store Connect.
2. Click My Apps and select your app.
3. Open the App Review section.
4. Review Apple’s feedback and any requested changes.
5. Click Reply to App Review to respond or provide additional information.
6. Make the necessary changes and submit the updated version for another review.

Note: Changes to app functionality may require generating and uploading a new iOS Release build. If the issue only involves app metadata, you may be able to correct the information without uploading another build.

Release Your Updated App After Approval

Once Apple approves your updated app, its availability depends on the release option selected in App Store Connect.

• Automatic Release: Your update is released automatically after approval.
• Scheduled Release: Your update is released on or after your selected date, once approved by Apple.
• Manual Release: You must manually release the approved version through App Store Connect.

If you selected Manual Release:

1. Log in to App Store Connect.
2. Click My Apps and select your app.
3. Open the approved app version.
4. Click Release This Version.
5. Confirm the release.

Your updated BuddyBoss iOS App will become available to users once Apple completes the release process.
