How to Set Up Memberium with BuddyBoss

Introduction

The Memberium is a premium membership plugin that connects your WordPress website with Keap (formerly Infusionsoft) or ActiveCampaign. It enables you to build membership sites, protect premium content, sell online courses, automate access based on CRM tags, and synchronize member information between your website and CRM.

Memberium includes built-in integration with BuddyBoss, allowing you to synchronize profile fields, automate BuddyBoss group memberships, and protect forums using membership levels or CRM tags.

Install Memberium

To install Memberium:

1. Purchase and download Memberium from:
   https://memberium.com/pricing
2. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
3. Go to Plugins > Add New.
4. Click Upload Plugin.
5. Select the Memberium ZIP file you downloaded.
6. Click Install Now.
7. Click Activate Plugin.
8. Launch the Memberium Installation Wizard.
9. Follow the wizard to:
   • Connect your website to Keap or ActiveCampaign.
   • Create your initial membership levels.
   • Optionally import membership site templates.

Note: BuddyBoss integration is built into Memberium and is enabled automatically. No additional BuddyBoss add-ons are required.

Sync BuddyBoss Profile Fields with Your CRM

Memberium can synchronize both the default and custom BuddyBoss profile fields with your CRM.

To configure field synchronization:

1. Go to Memberium > Settings > Performance.
2. Set Sync Meta Updates to Yes.
3. Go to Memberium > Sync Options > BuddyPress Fields.
4. Match your CRM fields with the corresponding BuddyBoss profile fields.
5. Save your changes.

Once configured, profile data is synchronized in both directions between BuddyBoss and your CRM.

Automatically Add Members to BuddyBoss Groups

Memberium can automatically assign members to BuddyBoss groups based on CRM tags.

To configure automatic group assignments:

1. Go to the BuddyBoss group you want to automate.
2. Scroll to the Memberium Integration section.
3. Select the CRM tag that should grant access to the group.
4. Save your changes.

When the selected tag is added to a member in Keap or ActiveCampaign, they will automatically be added to the corresponding BuddyBoss group. If the tag is removed, Memberium can also remove the member from the group.

Protect BuddyBoss Forums

Memberium allows you to restrict BuddyBoss forums using membership levels or CRM tags.

To protect a forum:

1. Open the BuddyBoss forum you want to protect.
2. Locate the Memberium Content Protection settings.
3. Choose the required membership level or CRM tag.
4. Save or update the forum.

Members who do not meet the access requirements can be redirected to a login page, registration page, or a members-only excerpt, depending on your Memberium configuration.

Verify the Integration

After completing the setup:

• Confirm that BuddyBoss profile fields synchronize with your CRM.
• Verify that members are automatically added to the correct BuddyBoss groups based on their CRM tags.
• Test access to protected BuddyBoss forums using accounts with different membership levels or CRM tags.
