Configure BuddyBoss Courses Integration

If you use BuddyBoss Memberships or BuddyBoss Groups, you can configure additional course integration settings.

To access these settings:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to BuddyBoss > Settings > BuddyBoss Courses.

Enable BuddyBoss Group Sync

Enable BuddyBoss Group Sync to integrate BuddyBoss Courses with BuddyBoss Groups.

When enabled, administrators can associate courses with groups during group creation and management.

Configure Course Visibility

Enable Course Visibility to allow administrators to link BuddyBoss Courses to BuddyBoss Groups.

When enabled, courses can be associated with groups directly from the group creation and management screens.

Configure Display Course Activity

The Display Course Activity section determines which learning activities are published to the associated group’s activity feed.

Available options include:

  • Group member started a course – Publish an activity update when a member starts a course.
  • Group member completes a course – Publish an activity update when a member completes a course.
  • Group member completes a lesson – Publish an activity update when a member completes a lesson.
  • Group member completed an assignment – Publish an activity update when a member completes an assignment.
  • Group member completed a quiz – Publish an activity update when a member completes a quiz.

Note: These options appear on the group creation and management screens, allowing site administrators to enable or disable course activity posts for individual groups.

Configure Posts in Activity Feed

The Posts in Activity Feed section controls which BuddyBoss Courses content types are shared in the BuddyBoss activity feed.

Available content types include:

  • Courses
  • Lessons
  • Assignments
  • Quizzes

For each content type, you can also choose whether comments are enabled directly within the activity feed.

These settings determine which course-related content is published when members, instructors, or site administrators create or update learning content.

Use BuddyBoss Memberships with BuddyBoss Courses

BuddyBoss Memberships can be used to protect access to:

  • BuddyBoss Courses
  • Course Categories
  • Course Tags

This allows you to restrict course access so that only members with the appropriate membership plan can view or enroll in protected courses.
