The Curriculum Categories help you organize your lessons, assignments, and quizzes, making it easier to manage and filter your course content. This guide explains how to create and manage Lesson, Assignment, and Quiz Categories In BuddyBoss Courses. Curriculum categories are shared across Lessons, Assignments, and Quizzes, so any category you create is automatically available when creating or editing any of these content types.
Access Curriculum Categories
You can access the shared Curriculum Categories page from any of the following locations:
- BB Courses > Lessons > Categories
- BB Courses > Assignments > Categories
- BB Courses > Quizzes > Categories
Regardless of where you access it, you’ll be taken to the same Curriculum Categories management page.
Create a Curriculum Category
- Enter a Name for the category.
- (Optional) Enter a Slug. If left blank, WordPress generates one automatically.
- (Optional) Add a Description.
- Click Add New Category.
The new category will immediately become available for lessons, assignments, and quizzes.
Manage Curriculum Categories
Existing categories are listed on the right side of the page.
From the category list, you can:
- Edit an existing category.
- Quick Edit the category name or slug.
- Delete a category that is no longer needed.
- View the category archive.
- Use Bulk Actions to delete multiple categories at once.
- Use the Search Categories field to locate specific categories.
Using Curriculum Categories
When creating or editing a lesson, assignment, or quiz, expand the Curriculum Categories panel in the editor and select the appropriate category.
You can assign one or more categories to help organize your curriculum content and simplify filtering throughout the BB Courses interface.
Note: Curriculum Categories are shared across Lessons, Assignments, and Quizzes. Creating, editing, or deleting a category from any one of these sections automatically updates it for all three content types.
