Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing the BuddyBoss Done For You (DFY) App service!
Before your project can begin, you’ll need to complete a few onboarding requirements in your Project Dashboard. These steps ensure the BuddyBoss team has everything needed to configure, build, and launch your app successfully.
Completing these requirements early helps avoid delays and allows you to book your project kickoff call sooner.
Access Your DFY App Project
- Log in to your BuddyBoss account.
- From the left-hand menu, click Done For You.
- Select App Projects.
- Open your active DFY App project.
Your project dashboard displays your onboarding checklist and project information, including your Project ID, App ID, and Order Number.
Complete the Technical Requirements
To build and publish your mobile app, the BuddyBoss team requires access to the necessary developer accounts.
Before proceeding, ensure you have:
- An active Apple Developer Account
- An active Google Play Developer Account
- A Google Cloud Console project
From the onboarding page, use the provided setup guides to grant BuddyBoss access to each account, then mark each item as complete.
Note: These accounts are required for app configuration and store submission.
Prepare Your Website Access
The BuddyBoss team also requires temporary administrator access to your WordPress website.
Have the following information ready:
- Website URL
- WordPress Administrator Username
- WordPress Administrator Password
Providing website access early allows the team to begin configuring your website and connecting it with your mobile app.
Prepare Your Branding Materials
To ensure your app reflects your brand, gather your branding assets before your kickoff call.
Prepare the following if available:
- Company logo
- Brand guidelines
- Brand colors
- Typography preferences
- Design inspiration or reference examples
These assets help the design team create an app that matches your existing brand identity.
Complete All Required Checklist Items
Each onboarding task includes a checkbox that must be completed before your project can move forward.
Once you’ve:
- Granted all required developer account access
- Provided your website details
- Prepared your branding assets
mark each item as complete within the project dashboard.
Important: Your project cannot begin until all required onboarding items have been completed.
Book Your Kickoff Call
After completing all required onboarding tasks, the Book Kickoff Call button will become available.
During your kickoff call, you’ll meet with the BuddyBoss team to:
- Review your project goals
- Confirm your requirements
- Discuss your implementation plan
- Answer any remaining questions before development begins
