How to Install and Activate BuddyBoss Membership

The BuddyBoss Membership enables you to create and manage memberships, control access to your content, and sell digital products on your BuddyBoss website. If you’re using BuddyBoss Courses, this plugin is required and must be installed before you can use course memberships and related features. This guide shows how to install and activate BuddyBoss Membership

Before You Begin

Before installing BuddyBoss Membership, ensure you have:

• A BuddyBoss account with access to the Membership plugin.
• WordPress installed and running.
• BuddyBoss Platform installed and activated.

Download the BuddyBoss Membership Plugin

Before installing the plugin on your website, you must first download it from your BuddyBoss account.

1. Log in to your BuddyBoss account.
2. Open the Downloads section.
3. Locate BuddyBoss Membership.
4. Download the latest version of the plugin ZIP file to your computer.

Install the Plugin

After downloading the plugin:

1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
2. Go to Plugins > Add New.
3. Click Upload Plugin.
4. Click Choose File and select the downloaded BuddyBoss Membership ZIP file.
5. Click Install Now.
6. Wait for the installation to complete.
7. Click Activate Plugin.

Verify the Installation

After activation:

1. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
2. Locate BuddyBoss Membership in the list of installed plugins.
3. Verify that the plugin displays the Deactivate link, confirming it is active.

Note: If BuddyBoss Courses is installed, BuddyBoss Membership cannot be deactivated until BuddyBoss Courses is first deactivated, as it is a required dependency.
