Restrict WordPress Pages with BuddyBoss Membership

You can restrict WordPress Pages with BuddyBoss Membership to control which membership plans can access specific pages on your website. This is useful for creating members-only resources, premium pages, exclusive content, and other areas intended for specific membership levels.

Once your memberships are created, you can use the Access Protection settings in the WordPress Page editor to select one or more memberships that should have access to the page.

Before You Start

Make sure you have already created at least one BuddyBoss Membership that you can assign to the page.

To quickly create a membership:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
  2. Go to Memberships.
  3. Click Add New Membership.
  4. Enter a Membership Title and configure the membership options.
  5. Under Membership Terms, configure the price, billing type, and access period as needed.
  6. Click Publish.

Once your membership has been created, you can use it to protect your WordPress Pages.

Open a WordPress Page

You can apply membership protection to an existing page or configure it while creating a new page.

To edit an existing page:

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Pages.
  2. Locate the page you want to protect.
  3. Click Edit.

To create a new page:

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Pages > Add New Page.
  2. Enter the page title and add your content.
  3. Configure the page as needed.

Locate the Access Protection Settings

The membership access settings are available in the Meta Boxes area of the WordPress Page editor.

  1. Scroll toward the bottom of the Page editor.
  2. Expand Meta Boxes if the section is collapsed.
  3. Locate the Access Protection section.
  4. Find the membership selection field under Select which memberships will have access to this content.

Your available BuddyBoss Membership plans will appear in this field.

Select Memberships for Access Protection

Select the membership that should have access to the page.

For example, if your website has Gold, Silver, and Bronze memberships, you can select the membership level that should be permitted to view the page.

To allow multiple memberships to access the same page, hold the Ctrl key on Windows or the Command key on Mac while selecting or deselecting multiple memberships.

Only members with one of the selected memberships will have access to the protected page.

Save the Page

Once you have configured Access Protection:

  1. Review the memberships selected under Access Protection.
  2. Click Save or Update if you are editing an existing page.
  3. Click Publish if you are creating a new page.

The WordPress Page is now protected according to the BuddyBoss Membership access settings you selected.
