Introduction
When an administrator deletes a user account through Paid Memberships Pro (PMPro), the user is removed from WordPress along with their associated BuddyBoss account data.
This article explains what happens to BuddyBoss-related data when a member account is deleted using PMPro.
What Happens When a User Is Deleted
When a user is permanently deleted from WordPress through PMPro or the WordPress Dashboard, the following BuddyBoss-related data is also removed or disconnected from the site:
- Member profile
- Profile data and account information
- Activity feed content created by the user
- Group memberships
- Forum participation associations
- Connections and followers
- Messages and notifications tied to the account
- Course and community access linked to the membership account
Depending on your site configuration and third-party plugins, some content may:
- Be permanently deleted
- Become anonymized
- Remain visible but no longer linked to the deleted user account

Before deleting an account, it is recommended to:
- Verify whether the user data needs to be retained for reporting or compliance purposes.
